Find your moment ↗No perfect routine. No right answer. Start with whatever would help you put today into words.

Take a check-in →A blank page, or a gentle prompt. Write, edit, and revisit your words. Archive a page when you want it out of the way.
Open your journal →Type, or try the new English voice preview. An experimental AI companion can help you explore everyday experiences. Free cloud queues can cause pauses. Save a conversation to your journal only if you want to keep it.
Meet the companion →“I took the longer way home today. Nothing dramatic. Just a few quiet minutes that belonged to me.”
Penguin is built around a simple idea: reflection can have a place in ordinary life. You do not need to turn it into another task to complete.
The current app is free, including the English voice preview. Cloud AI has queues and usage limits. Journaling and check-ins do not depend on an AI reply.
No. Penguin is an experimental reflection and journaling tool. It cannot diagnose, treat, or provide crisis care, and AI can give inaccurate or unhelpful answers. For mental-health care, speak with a qualified professional.
Saved journal pages and check-ins stay in this browser, unencrypted. They are not automatically sent to AI. A chat message and recent turns go to the Hugging Face cloud service when you consent and press Send, or enable automatic sending in voice. Voice clips and generated reply text also go to the cloud speech service after separate consent. Export backups before clearing browser data. Read the data guide.
Penguin is our product and companion experience, powered by Qwen3-4B open weights, with Whisper recognition and Kokoro speech generation. We have not trained a proprietary base model. The model runs on cloud hardware; no GPU or model download is needed on your device.
Yes, in a modern browser. Your saved pages stay in that browser on that device. To move them, export your journal and restore the file in another browser. There is no automatic device sync.
Free cloud capacity can be busy or unavailable. Penguin keeps your message in the input if the request fails. You can retry later, write in your journal, or take a quiet minute. It does not substitute a made-up answer when the service fails.
